Blackpool is a resort town in Lancashire, England and it has been my home for 20 years. 2020 saw the Global Pandemic of Covid-19 caused by the corona virus SARS-CoV-2.

This is a personal view of how a year that started so well with our holiday in India, ground to a halt under lockdown.

Initially the effect was curious and we didn't know how long the shutdown would last - even the Gypsy fortune teller was barricaded up. Though a few souls were able to eat socially distanced fish and chips, this soon stopped and not a lot moved.
