Kerala

Kerala is on the SW edge of India and is a place that we love. Literacy rates are the highest in India and the local infrastructure is excellent. We love it from its tea and spice growing areas to the Backwaters and the seaside. We also love the fine city of Kochi/Cochin with its Chinese fishing nets, people, spice markets and Kathakali Dancers.

There are more practicing Christians in India than in the UK and some 6 million of them live in Kerala, so it's not surprising to see churches by the roadside and on the Backwaters.
